Earth Science Weblog

This week students began studying the environmental problems associated with mining and burning coal. Students watched a video on the effects of acid rain in New England caused by burning coal to generate electricity in the Ohio valley. Students responded to the prompt, "Are the effects of acid rain serious enough to demand a reduction in smokestack emissions?" in a blog at Rick's Earth Science blog. The 21st century skill is using weblogs to communicate.
